Harry P. Salmon Jr.

 

Harry served 28 years in the Navy, mostly in the Nuclear Power Submarine Force. He served on USS Skate (SSN-578), USS Seawolf (SSN-575), USS Russell (SSN-687) and USS Indianapolis (SSN-697) where he was the Commanding Officer. He the served as Deputy Commander for Readiness and Training, Sub Squadron One, Senior Inspector, Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board, Commander Sub Squadron Sixteen, Director of Logistics and Management (N4), Atlantic Sub Force, and lastly was Commander, Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport at his retirement as a Captain USN. In his next career, he was employed by the New York Power Authority in various positions relating to their Nuclear Operations ending as VP Engineering and Project Control. He finished his career in the civilian world in 2003, as Director of Oversight, Entergy Nuclear Northeast. Harry has his Masters in Personnel Administration from George Washington University. Harry has been married to Doris for over forty years and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. He now lives at 30 Waterview Dr., Pilesgrove, NJ.

 

                                                    William L. Howard

 

Bill received a medical discharge upon graduation. He became a structural design engineer for McDonnell Aircraft working on the F-4, F-15, DC-10, AV-8B and several advanced design aircraft and space programs. He was one of two designers of McDonnell's proprietary CAD/CAM system from '72 to '75. Joined the Rockwell B-1 program in '77 to manage their CAD/CAM system and became their Information Systems Development Manager. In 1980 became Corporate Director, Fairchild Industries, responsible for corporate oversight of all information systems and technology improvement. Served as Chief Engineer for Fairchild Republic. In 1985 he joined Coopers& Lybrand as a management consultant, then in 1990 joined TASC and finally Richard S. Carson & Assoc. where he retired this summer as VP Major Projects. In this last position he was involved with a multi-million dollar Army National Guard acquisition program. In his spare time, he helped start and served as President of two national 501.C(3) groups. Bill has a Masters in Engineering Management from University of Missouri/Rolla. He has been married to Candy for forty years, has two children and one grandchild. He lives at 84 Rowe Point Rd., Irvington, VA.
